Goodbye?

Well, Integra, you may be nearing the end. You have been beautiful, and very useful because I've been forced to learn about all the problems you have. I don't know if you ever appreciated all that hard work and money I've put into you, but I think we're nearing the end here.

You need a new motor, and I don't have the money for that.
Someday, you'll need a new transmission, too. And I'm not sure I'll have the money for that, either.
All the cars I've owned have been money pits, except for the firebird, which I miss dearly.
I am imagining a world where it doesn't matter what car I drive, how fast it goes, or how lame it looks compared to my friends' cars. As long as it gets me around reliably, right? And cheaply, too.

Soon, perhaps tomorrow, I'm going to ask my mom if she'll sell me her car, which has been sitting behind the garage for quite awhile now. It was my first car, which she took back from me. It isn't even 1/10th as cool as my integra, that's for sure, but if I can fix it up, it should be very reliable. Maybe I'll take it to the auto shop and find out what's wrong with it. I looked at it earlier today, and saw a lot of oil or oil residue underneath the distributor, and I know it isn't running right. Further investigation is necessary of course, but I have a feeling it's something very simple. At least I hope so.

Light rebuild of the B18A1, about $600.
Rebuilt transmission, $400 plus core exchange.
New IACV, about $200.
New axles, exhaust, windshield, blah blah blah, too much.
