Front End Update

Some people like their dessert first. That picture is the end result of my time and money.

I installed clear side markers and clear bumper markers and amber corner markers and a headlight that isn't cracked. It took a lot of work. I had to remove the bumper, splice into my stock harness, curse a lot, drink a 2-liter of Mtn. Dew and stay up until 2:30AM in the garage to finish this. With that being said, if I ever have to work on the front end again in this lifetime, it would be too soon.

I don't mean to brag, but I think it turned out fairly good.

I wish I had gone with amber side markers (I ordered clear, and the next day bought amber corners with my new headlights) and the guy on craigslist sold me a shitty mounting bracket, but all in all things came together. I ended up moving the new headlight to my old bracket. The toughest part of this job was putting the front bumper back on by myself. It come off pretty easily, but putting it back on is difficult; lining everything up properly, tucking the harnesses out of the way, and choosing the perfect angle, all while sitting on the floor. It's just heavy enough that it's tough to handle with only two hands.

Have some pictures.

Q: What's missing here?    A: Everything.

So that was pretty fun...
I also installed a new gauge cluster. It reads the correct speed, which is nice. I'm going to have to take apart the dash again to install some new lights I ordered, but now that I've done it I think it'll be a cakewalk (which is a funny term because teaching a cake to walk would probably be very difficult).

Business as usual.
Business during usual.
Business after usual.
Concluding the business.

More stuff will happen eventually. And I'll update at that point.
